THE GLYCEMIC RESPONSE INHIBITION DIET EFFECTS ON HEALTH AND WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
The GRID Diet is based on the benefits of glycemic response inhibition . Medical studies have demonstrated that diets high in fiber with lower glycemic index foods reduce blood glucose levels (glycemic response inhibition) and insulin levels. Diets with lower glycemic index foods reduce risk factors for heart disease, type II diabetes, some types of cancer, and obesity. Weight loss and weight management can be achieved using the concepts of GRID that include simple dietary modification, supplementation and exercise.

THE EFFECTS OF DIETARY SUPPLEMENTATION AND MEAL REPLACEMENT ON HEALTH AND WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
The principles of the GRID Diet include exercise, dietary modification, supplementation and meal replacement as methods of inhibiting glycemic response and insulin secretion and improving fat catabolism and reducing oxidative processes that accelerate aging and promote disease. Soluble dietary fiber, vegetable protein, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and essential amino acids are the focus of dietary supplementation. Low glycemic index soluble dietary fiber and vegetable protein are the primary focus of meal replacement. A considerable body of medical literature supports these principles.

THE EFFECTS OF EXERCISE ON HEALTH AND WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
Numerous medical studies have demonstrated the benefits of exercise in improving cardiac health, reducing risk of cancer, stroke, depression and type II diabetes. Weight loss programs that include exercise have also demonstrated significantly better outcomes than programs that do not include exercise. Regular exercise is an important factor in weight loss and maintaining optimal health. Exercise programs can be introduced with minimal effort and expense and are a viable option able bodied and disabled individuals.
