Will I get any benefit from taking only the GRID Meal Replacement or GRID Diet Supplement without changing my diet or exercising?

Yes, any increase in dietary fiber and vegetable protein will help you. Many people do respond in a measurable way to just supplementation or meal replacement. But, combining the GRID Dietary Modification, Exercise and GRID Meal Replacement or Supplementation is best of all.

Can I follow the GRID Diet without using the GRID products?

Yes. Because each of the GRID dietary modification and exercise are good for you. However, when all three interventions, diet, exercise and supplementation are used together they are much more effective in helping you reach and maintain your weight loss goals.

How many times a day should I use the dietary supplement or meal replacement?
It's usually best to start with the meal replacement (2 scoops mixed with 8 oz of soy milk or cows milk one time a day. After a week or two, you can add the GRID Dietary Supplement prior to your largest meal.

Do the GRID products have any stimulants or herbal medicines in them.

No. The GRID products are made only from soluble dietary fiber, vegetable protein, vitamins and minerals. Stimulants have a poor track record for delivering long-term weight loss results.

Are there any side effects from the GRID products?
Increased soluble fiber in one's diet may initially cause gas bloating or loose stools. This effect usually subsides after the first week or two.

Can I come to the GRID lectures if I am not enrolled in the clinic?

Yes, the lectures are open to the public so you are welcome to attend the lecture series without being enrolled in the GRID Clinic.

How long do I stay on the GRID@Home program?
A healthy diet and exercise should be forever. Using the GRID products makes it easier to reach and maintain your goals but a rigorous diet and exercise program will allow you to maintain your weight even without supplementation and meal replacement. But even maintaining your goals is easier with all three interventions.

Campbell  is a must read for anyone interested in nutrition.  This book, written by an accomplished NIH funded researcher illustrates the perils of animal protein and the  benefits of whole plant foods (those high in fiber).  If you read it, it will forever change how you look at nutrition.
